However, as of the time of I publishing this article, I personally feel that typora is the best markdown editor in the world. With its unique WYSIWYG (hybrid) editing model, it\’s way ahead of the pack!

You guys who may not have used typora are a bit unfamiliar with this \”WYSIWYG\”. So what does “what you see is what you get” mean? The full text is \”What You See Is What You Get\”. Different from the usual left and right split screen editing ( ⌨️ | 👀), typora can intuitively display the rendering effect, eliminating the shortcomings of left and right split-screen distraction, focusing on a screen can be.

MilkUp is a desktop software based on milkdown and electron. An MVP version has been released on GitHub, supporting Windows and Mac. It offers a writing experience almost identical to Typora. To be honest, I wrote this article using MilkUp, and I feel it is just as good as Typora.

The \’milkup\’ meme is spot on. The name \’milkup\’ itself is clever—just like how Evan You created \’rolldown\’ based on \’rollup,\’ it plays on \’milkdown\’ to come up with \’milkup.\’ Even the logo is just a 180° flip of milkdown\’s.

In milkup, you can see traces of milkdown everywhere. For example, when you click on the menu and it drops down, it turns into milkdown\’s own logo (it\’s back to normal! 🤣).
